Generally when the owners of the motor vehicle buy any motor vehicle, they become very concerned about the security of the motor vehicle. For this reason, whenever a motor vehicle is bought, they want to cover with insurance as soon as possible.
Traditionally the motor vehicle owner contacts with the underwriter department of the insurance company and then personnel from insurance company collects required information to calculate projected cost for insurance coverage of the motor vehicle.
The personnel from insurance company inform the motor vehicle owner in verbal or written form about the cost for insurance coverage and risks involved.
The problem with the traditional system is:
- The motor vehicle owner does not have contact number of the insurance company so they physical visits office which leads to wastage of human hour in significantly
- If the owner buys vehicle during the week-end they are not able to know the associated risks and costing for insurance coverage
In this situation, People Insurance Company Limited has decided to develop a mobile based application to provide quick calculation on different kind vehicles for insurances coverage round the clock.
This will reduce the human involvement for initial inquiries from the customer and will allow customer to check calculation any time.
